Profound Global Transformation - Pluto, Uranus and Neptune Changing signs

This year all three outer planets, Pluto, Neptune and Uranus change signs marking a profound change in the collective energy. Any one of these planets changing signs is a big change, however all three changing signs in the same year is unusual and shows that humanity is undergoing a profound transformation. While change can be daunting, it is helpful to know that these three planets will be forming harmonious aspects to each other from 2025 to 2028. They will be forming a minor trine, an aspect where two planets are trine (120 degrees) to each other and sextile (60 degrees) to the third one. This aspect shows that these three planets will be working together to create opportunities, growth and to help ease us through these rapidly changing times. Lets take a look at each of these planetary transits and the aspects they are making to each other for more insight.

Astro Code Oracle

Pluto in Aquarius - Pluto initially moved into Aquarius in 2023, but due to retrogrades back into Capricorn in 2023 and 2024, he did not fully go into Aquarius until January of this year. Pluto is about power, transformative change, endings, secrets and the underworld. In Aquarius he is about rebellion and revolution, the power of the people, and technology changing society. He also can be about how new technologies like the internet and AI can be abused by those in power.

Neptune in Aries - Neptune transited into Aries on March 30, and will briefly retrograde back to Pisces this fall, then return in January 2026 to Aries. Neptune is spirituality and the collective dream. It is what we idealize and fantasize about. It also has connections to the ocean, chemistry, the arts and drugs and alcohol. In Aries we tend to idealize the individual, archetypes like the pioneer, the cowboy and the warrior. There is increased focus on self-reliance but also dangers in idealizing war or self-sufficiency to our collective detriment. We could also see oceans warming or naval warfare. There is also opportunity for spiritual leaders to emerge now.

Uranus in Gemini - On July 7, 2025, Uranus the planet of technology, chaos and sudden change (as opposed to Pluto's slow-moving change) moves into the communicative sign of Gemini. Like the other three planets he will briefly retrograde back into Taurus late this year and then go back into Gemini for the next 8 years. Uranus in Gemini has historically coincided with the US being at war (Revolution, Civil War, WW2) and then reinventing itself, so we will see if this pattern continues. Uranus is about technology and in Gemini we see leaps forward in both communication and transportation. Think trains, the postal service, radar, television, the basis for wifi and computers etc. which were all invented or came into widespread use during previous Uranus in Gemini periods. This era may see similar leaps forward in communication and transportation technology.

Pluto in Aquarius trine Uranus in Gemini - Trines bring a sense of ease and expansion, and with both of these outer planets in air signs, new ideas and inspiration will flow freely. Pluto in Aquarius brings long term change in technology that will affect our society and the distribution of power. This will work well with the sudden leaps forward in new inventions that Uranus will bring. The next several years will mark profound changes to the way we communicate and travel. As these planets are in a trine, it shows that the changes will be relatively smooth and bring opportunities for many.

Pluto in Aquarius sextile Neptune in Aries. Pluto has been relatively sextile Neptune for a most of the 20th century. However, the next few years sees them very close in degree to each other. Pluto sextile Neptune has been associated with an increase in interest in the paranormal, psychic abilities and alternative spiritualities. I expect this to continue but with a different tone. We may see new forms of spirituality that incorporates new technology, either using it as part of their practice or even worshiping it. We may also see the rise of new religions or charismatic leaders, who use technology to spread their messages. I also expect to see themes of mediumship and UFOs becoming more prevalent.

Uranus in Gemini sextile Neptune in Aries. Uranus is all about the unusual, the revolutionary and the weird. In Gemini he brings unusual ideas and as he is working with Neptune in Aries, we may see more strange ideas and innovations to spirituality. Expect to also see more charismatic and interesting spiritual leaders, and encouragement of self-reliance and individualism. This can have both positive and negative implications as this can help people to be more disciplined and independent and these leaders can inspire. However, the downside is fragmentation of beliefs, lack of empathy for others and conspiracy theories and cult leaders. As this is a harmonious aspect, I think this will lean more towards the positive, but it is good to be aware of how this energy could become toxic.

This mystical minor trine will be in effect for several years, so these will be long term influences and not any single event. Please note that Neptune will retrograde back into Pisces and Uranus into Taurus later this year. This trine will still be in effect, although the tone may slightly change. Overall, this aspect with all three outer planets over the next several years is encouraging us to collectively transform our relationship to power (Pluto) and our individual spirituality (Neptune) while navigating fast paced technological change (Uranus). By the time we arrive at 2030 the world will be a different place, and the gods are trying to help us to navigate the changes and make a better world for ourselves and others.

Full Moon in Sagittarius - Healing Through Creativity

On Wednesday June 11 we have a Full Moon at 20 degrees of Sagittarius. Full Moons occur when the Sun and Moon are in opposite signs. In this case the Sun is in social and communicative Gemini and the Moon in adventurous and big picture thinking Sagittarius. During Gemini season we are focused on communicating with friends, learning new ideas, gathering facts and taking short trips or errands. The Full Moon in Sagittarius reminds us to not forget the forest for the tress and to take a step back and think about the larger ideas like philosophy, religion and politics. It also asks us to dream big and to imagine what grand adventures we want to have in the future. This makes this Full Moon a good time to look at our long term plans and re-evaluate our daily routines to see if they contribute to our overall goals.

Moonology Oracle

This Full Moon has several positive aspects to it, including a trine to both Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries. Mars and Chiron are lending supporting energy to make this an uplifting and energizing time. Mars in Leo encourages us to take the lead and to express ourselves creatively. The Full Moon is asking us to examine our long-term goals, and Mars in Leo wants us to start taking action towards them. Chiron is the wounded healer and in Aries he wants us to look at where our sense of self-expression or individuality has been hurt. What can we do to facilitate healing in our lives?

Also, on this day Mercury in Cancer is making a sextile to Venus in Taurus. This is a lovely aspect for creativity especially in the fields of creative writing, poetry or song writing. Mercury is about language and in Cancer, he wants us to express our feelings. With Venus the planet of love, beauty and relationships in earthy Taurus, this is best expressed through making art. Expressing our feelings of love and friendship is highlighted now, and especially so if we can do that by making art, music and poetry. Be open to inspiration this Full Moon.

The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon in "A Child and a Dog Wear Borrowed Glasses". This is a rather silly image of a kid trying on glasses and then putting them on a dog. But sometimes silliness and lightheartedness are called for. Don't take everything so seriously now. This speaks to how humour and joy can be healing for us. It also is about how children learn by imitating the adults around them. The child tries on glasses because he sees the adults wearing them and wants to try it out. If we are wanting to try something new, we have to follow those who have gone before. As the saying goes "fake it until you make it." You don't have to reinvent the wheel. You can learn from those who have gone before.

Overall, this is a very positive Full Moon that brings with it healing through creativity and lightheartedness. Express your feelings creatively and don't be so serious about everything. Take time to look at your long term goals and build some fun and adventure into your routine.

Jupiter in Cancer - Home, Comfort and Motherhood

On June 09, Jupiter the planet of luck and expansion moves from Gemini into Cancer, where he will be for the next 13 months. Jupiter changes signs once a year and brings a sense of ease and optimism to that area of your chart. Think about what was happening 12, 24, and 36 etc. years ago, for clues as to what themes might be repeating for you. What was going on in 2013, 2001 and 1989 in the Cancer part of your birth chart (if you know your personal chart)? If you don't know your chart, that's okay because below I have 5 themes that you can expect for this upcoming Jupiter in Cancer transit.

Oracle of the Radiant Sun

  1. A Desire to Nurture and Protect. Cancer is a nurturing and sensitive sign, and Jupiter has a tendency to amplify the energy of the sign it is in. Expect that the next thirteen months are ones where you may feel more sensitive and empathetic to others. There is also the desire to nurture and care for others, especially animals and children, and to protect those who are vulnerable. Expect to see more emphasis on the need to take care of each other, and on humanitarian issues in the news. In our own lives it is important that we take care of ourselves and those around us and to honour our emotions. We may find ourselves feeling more sensitive both emotionally and intuitively.

  2. A Focus in Family and Motherhood. Cancer has long been associated with mothering and during Jupiter in Cancer, we will see this theme become more prominent. In the news the issues of women's rights and reproductive freedoms, along with childcare and other forms of maternal support will be highlighted. There also will be an idealization of motherhood, fertility and family life. This can be a great time for those looking to grow or start a family.  Jupiter has associations with the law, so legal issues around fertility, motherhood and reproduction are likely to come up.

  3. Home and Comfort. Jupiter in Cancer highlights the home and may see an increase in home building and renovation as people look to retreat and find comfort. Cancer is an introverted water sign, but it is also a cardinal sign, which is about action. Cancer asks us to take action to either make our homes more comfortable, or to seek out one that better suits our needs. There also will be an emphasis on the domestic arts like cooking, baking, sewing, knitting and decorating. It's a good time to pick up a hobby in any of these areas.

  4. Memories and History. Cancer has strong associations with memories and the past. With Jupiter here, expect to see an emphasis on nostalgia. There may be a temptation to see the "good old days" with rose coloured glasses and to forget about past struggles and difficulties. Jupiter asks us to expand our mind, so it is a great time to do some genealogy and family research. It's also a good time to learn about history and from our elders. Expect to see some historic discoveries and archeological breakthroughs in the coming year.

  5. Imagination and Creativity. Being ruled by the Moon, Cancer is connected to our dreams, the subconscious and our imagination. The next 13 months are a good time to explore your imagination and express it through artistic pursuits like painting, song, photography, and creative writing. Even pursuits like scrap-booking or collage can be a good way to process old feelings and come to terms with the past. Jupiter in Cancer expands our creative ability and encourages us to make art that is more solitary. When he moves into Leo next year, we will then be asked to put that creativity out into the public eye, if we want to.

Jupiter brings luck and opportunity to the sign he inhabits, in this case, Cancer. Themes around nurturing, self-care, the family, motherhood and the past are all areas that will be positively highlighted over the next 13 months. Think about what changes you might want to make in your family, your home or in your creative life and take action on them, as Jupiter will bring opportunities to these areas.
